Iranian short film ‘Fish and I’ directed by Babak Habibifar has won an award at the 11th edition of the SorsiCorti Short Film Festival in Italy.
Also written and acted by Habibifar, the Iranian animated short film grabbed the Best Film Award at the New Visions section of the Italian event, which was held from May 22-30.
‘Fish and I’ has thus far collected more than 50 awards and accolades from different global film events across the world.
The Iranian short narrates the story of a blind man who tries to save his fish.
The festival’s jury expressed admiration for the Iranian production, describing it as a successful work recounting the character through excitement and elegance of movement.
‘Fish and I’ is a sincere illustration of a companionship that has appeared on the big screen and has been depicted very natural.
SorsiCorti is a Short Film Festival that combines conviviality and interest in the art of the short film.
Launched in 2010, the festival is aimed at giving visibility to the work of filmmakers from all over the world and offering a careful selection of quality short films to the audience.
